Barbara Badger

Barbara has always loved to draw. At a class reunion, a classmate told her that she remembered her in first grade because she drew on every piece of paper she could find including every Kleenex in her box. In Junior High, she took private drawing lessons from an art teacher, and continued her art education in high school and at Ricks College, where Oliver Parsons was her favorite teacher.  He said that she had a talent for faces and should specialize in portraits.  She graduated from BYU and continued her education by traveling to workshops with Daniel Greene, Rebecca Alzafon, Margaret Carter Baumgaertner, and the classes in the Portrait Society of America. She has done commissioned oil portraits and paints for the joy of it.

She lives with her husband in Utah; they have 6 children, and 18 grandchildren.
